Red carpet quotes

E!Entertainment caught up with some of Hollywood's biggest stars at the Golden Globe Awards. What did they chat about? Find out below!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were both nominated. Speaking about her debut as a director for her movie In the Land of Blood and Honey, Jolie was quite serious and intense: "I was nervous about people in Bosnia seeing it who survived war and rape. It's a very difficult subject matter, it's done in a foreign language, and with people nobody knows. These are difficult times and people don't often want to watch difficult movies in difficult times, but it's important to revisit this history no matter, so we pushed forward and made it."

Host Ricky Gervais could not understand why there was such a big fuss about his antics last year. "I thought they blew it out of proportion last year, really. I mean, you usually have to actually murder someone to get that many column inches, and I just told a few jokes. So, it's going to be more of the same, different jokes obviously. But yeah, I'm not gunning to ruin anyone's night."

South African babe Charlize Theron spoke about how she landed a role in Young Adult directed Jason Reitman. "So, lesson to be learned: always tell dirty jokes. You never know when they're gonna come in handy."
George Clooney was nominated four times but he did not expect to win. "I predict I will not win four. So I feel that I'm probably going to be a pretty big loser tonight. That's my sense." PS: He walked home with the Best Actor in a Drama award.

Remember that hit comedy, Bridesmaids? Everyone is talking about a possible sequel, but what does Melissa McCarthy think about it, especially if we do not see the return of the original cast? "No that seems like a terrible idea. I wouldn't wanna do that. It was just so perfect, we had the time of our lives."
